I thought most circular sock needles were 25 cm. 80 cm is very long for socks surely?

Hi Florence, did you know you can buy lingerie straps or even make your own. These little ribbon straps are either sewn into the shoulders of a narrow tee or pinned to remove for another garment. They hold your bra strap in place and stops it from sliding outward. You might like to try them out. I hope you had a super time in Helsinki. Thank you so much for Al, you do with these patterns and video it is amazing. I have knitted two cardigans and one jumper I loved doing them. I really love the way you say that it can be knitted using drops yarn as it is affordable. I love knitting and I can knit a lot of items if I use drops but unfortunately I would only be able to knit very very few if I used expensive yarn. I am definitely not saying that expensive yarn is not worth it (I wish I could use it) but drops suits me. Please please keep saying suggesting cheaper alternative yarns can be used.

I’m a crocheter, and for years I’ve tried learning how to knit and failed because I was trying to learn the continental way of knitting, just two days ago I watched a UA-cam video and learned the English traditional way of knitting, and everything just makes sense now. This cardigan will be my first big project and your tutorial is just amazing! Thank you so much both for the pattern and this detailed video! Love your work! If I may offer just a tiny suggestion: try lowering your camera so there's more you and less space above your head. As it is, a lot of what you're showing us is cut off. You do such great work, I need a better look!

So I will say, I am so frustrated because I’ve redone this so many times time and I was wondering why mine didn’t match up with yours because I ran out of yarn, when knitting, you said use the tail and so I did and ran out of yarn 😭😭😭😭 you meant the working yarn, I’ve redone this so much and I realized it was that , and that’s why I couldn’t continue with a gauge swatch cuz I ran out 😤 this my first time knitting and I need a break cuz I’m so angry LMAO

Hello! Wraps per inch is used in spinning to denote how thick a yarn is, it is measured by wrapping yarn around a card and using a ruler to measure how many strands fit within 1 inch. It can be converted into a yarn weight (like fingering, sport, dk etc). It's a bit more accurate way to measure consistency while handspinning but rarely used elsewhere in my experience. 12 WPI is roughly a DK weight yarn. I like knowing WPI when using a worsted spun yarn because the amount of air in the yarn means you get a thicker strand, but lots of yardage at the same time (I have a 13 WPI/DK weight yarn that weighs 100 grams but is measures over 500 meters, which you would normally expect out of a lace weight yarn). Hope this helps :D

Your Moomin sock is adorable! I bought the book after you spoke about it in a previous episode. I haven’t knit any of the socks yet, but since they’re “house socks”, I thought I’d knit a pair or two this winter.

I have a question: for the yoke, do we knit one row and purl another while increasing to create stockinette? Or is everything just knitted garter stitch? I found this to be kind of confusing when I started initially.

What size is recommended if you don’t have an interchangeable set?

Hi Florence, I've made the sweater which I love. I'm unsure of whether the sizes on the cardi are with the 15cms added for ease or if I should make my size plus the 15cms? I measure 100cms so should I do the 105 cms as it's closest to my size or 115 cms size. Sorry if I'm being an idiot. Can't believe people are moaning about it not being free!

hye i'm a beginner and this is my first project and currently working on it. now i'm still doing the ribbing on the neck, and i'm not sure if it will fit my head 😂 or should i just trust the process ?

I am knitting the snorkmaiden socks and also found they came out so small part way through I converted them to mittens! Will try the socks that come in larger sizes. My shoe size is 6.5 btw.

In terms of bleeding: I've always heard you should block with vinegar added to the water and use cold(er) water. I've never experienced bleeding that way, but I'm not sure if it was because of the vinegar or just because it was non-bleeding yarn

Have you tried 50/50 blend cotton wools? I really like the Gepard cotton wool 3 which has similar gauge to kfo merino

The tukuwool dk is fabulous- I think you’re going to love it. I knit a cardigan with it and after blocking it feels positively luxurious! RE your Olympic sweater, I know this sounds a bit over the top but truly: go to a print shop and treat yourself to printed charts. I'm so glad you enjoyed Helsinki! Snurre is a gem. We do indeed have quite a bit of wool here, but it tends to be more of the rustic variety and I feel like nobody ever talks about Finnish yarn haha. (And you're pronouncing Vuonue perfectly!) If you ever end up in Finland again, I'd recommend you also visit Tampere! It's a really lovely city by a lake, less than 2hr train ride away from Helsinki, and they have yarn shops in the central area too 💕
